Coachella Valley Intereleague Season Update - 2020 Season

Dear League Families:

The last few weeks have transformed all of our lives in ways we could never have imagined. We’ve spent many years bringing the joy of baseball and softball to the Coachella Valley; we are now doing our best to navigate an unprecedented situation for all. Our commitment is to continue to communicate with you regularly on the actions we are taking during this very difficult period, until the time that sport activities can resume as normal. Thank you for the patience and trust you have shown so far.  Coachella Valley Interleague(s) have suspended all games until May 4th, 2020; this includes All Games, Practices & Team Meetings/Gatherings

At this time the Leagues have suspended the Spring 2020 season until at least May 4th.  Of course, this is subject to change at anytime.

It is our intention to continue play when it is absolutely safe and we have been given approval to do so by our governing body PONY National.

We will have a lot of flexibility with the schedule and many available dates and time slots to accommodate the teams and players that wish to remain and participate.

The health and safety of our players, family’s, volunteers, and fans is our top priority.  We fully support the measures taken by our local, and state governing bodies.  In addition we will abide by the guidelines that Pony National has set forth regarding the suspension of games, practices, team meetings, team gatherings, and delaying the season’s game play.  We will have more information as it becomes available.

Understanding that family’s have any questions, we are working through all of the effects of this announcement; below is a simple Questions and Answers that many of you may have.

Questions / Answers:

REGISTRATION FEES

Each league in the valley runs as a Not for Profit Organization which means each league incurs costs to process payments as well as up-front costs in advance of each season to plan for items such as uniforms, equipment, field maintenance, insurance, etc. Most if not all leagues have already purchased and provided uniforms and/or started game play.  Please note a policy for refunds and/or credits will not be initiated until we have absolutely determined that there will be no 2020 season.  PLEASE BE PATIENT with our executive boards; as this is a lot of work. Each league will have their own specific way in dealing with refunds or credits.  Any questions and/or concerns about refunds please email via website contact page.

GAME SCHEDULE

The game schedule will be revised, so that everyone gets in an equal amount of games.  The new schedule will not be available until May 04, 2020 or later.  Your first game will be May 4th, 2020 or a later date and time.
